A Day in the Life
Join our dynamic Cranial and Spinal Technologies (CST) team at Medtronic as we continue to grow our footprint and impact in the CST field. We're seeking a motivated Territory Manager to spearhead our efforts in NSW to service and grow our Spine & Biologics business within an assigned territory. In this pivotal role, you'll drive the management, development and execution of strategic business plans aimed at achieving sales revenue and market share objectives whilst delivering a 5-star experience to our Spine customers.
This position will be based in Macquarie Park on a hybrid working arrangement with opportunity to connect with your colleagues in office and in field, as well as supporting your customers in your territory.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
* Promote, educate, and sell products and services within an assigned geographic area to key specialists and technical staff to meet or exceed sales targets
* Strive to understand customer’s clinical and service needs and provide highest level of clinical service and technical support to customers while seeking out efficiency
* Responsible for developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with stakeholders
* Provide education, training & case support effectively to all clinical end users and hospital staff
* Be well organized and practice good territory management of inventory, case support calendar, administration and expenses
* Ensure the highest level of product and technical knowledge is attained and maintained
* Recognize and understand competitive products, features, strengths in relation to the company’s products
* Gather market intelligence (customer and competitor activities) by observation, discussion, or research
* Implements market development plans/strategies and changes as needed
* Travel within the assigned region, as well as other regions as required
Required Knowledge and Experience:
* Minimum Bachelor’s Degree is required
* Minimum 3-5+ years of sales experience in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth, or knowledge of account planning, territory management and forecasting in devices or healthcare industry
* Spine experience is preferred, would consider healthcare professionals in similar field (eg. Orthopedic, Physiotherapy)
* Proven clinical and technical knowledge and experience in clinical settings in theatres, working with surgeons is desirable
* Ability to adopt consultative selling strategies
* Strong ability to build and nurture strong clinical and business relationships with customers
* Understanding of internal workings of hospital labs/theatres/departments e.g. purchasing, clinics, patient & scheduling and key influencers
* Proactiveness and adaptability with the confident ability to navigate a changing environment
* Is intellectually curious and understands the responsibility of continuous learning and willingness to learn and be coached
* Willingness to travel within the assigned region, as well as other regions as required
* Maintain a valid driver’s license
