Located at our Dutton Park campus, this is an exciting opportunity for you to join a premier laboratory and provide specialist scientific and technical support to enhance high quality teaching laboratory operations at the facility. Key Responsibilities: Prepare equipment, instruments, demonstrations and any other technical materials needed to support practical and tutorial classes. Maintain the laboratories and equipment in a clean and functional state. Participate in demonstrator/tutor training for practical classes, including safety aspects and experimental procedures. Maintain and monitor stock levels of consumables and chemicals, and raise orders as required to ensure suitable stock levels are available for teaching laboratories. Monitor conduct within the teaching laboratories to ensure adherence to safe operating practices and procedures and report appropriately. Draft, update and revise safe operating procedures, chemical labelling practices and procedures, safety data sheets and risk assessments on a regular basis. About You Our ideal candidate will possess: Completion of a relevant degree level qualification in Science or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. Demonstrated laboratory knowledge and skills encompassing a range of laboratory equipment. Demonstrated knowledge in the discipline of Pharmacy and knowledge of relevant courses and programs of study or the capability to quickly acquire such knowledge. Demonstrated knowledge of the major areas of laboratory safety such as safety data sheets (SDS), chemical and drug labelling and risk assessment. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues. Ability to work independently on routine procedures. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
