About the RoleWe have an exciting opportunity to build your experience as a Service Support Technician reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor based at our Newman Operations on an 8/6 : 7/7 Rotating days and night shift FIFO from Perth.
You will carry out the highest level of servicing repairs and general maintenance support to a modern fleet of autonomous trucks, graders and dozers.
This includes routine fuel and lubrication top ups on our Surface Mobile Equipment (SME), lubrication on our fixed plant equipment and machines in our maintenance workshops.
You will be required to operate Light Vehicle (LV) class and SME class service truck vehicles.
Key responsibilities in this role include (but are not limited to):Oil change out and samplingChecking and filling lubricant & hydraulic tanksFilter change out and lubrication system maintenanceBreather maintenance and replacementLubrication system top-up and maintenance and oil analysisEnsure accurate completion of technical documentation, reports as requiredUse of computerized maintenance systems (SAP / FIORI) including time confirmations, raising notifications and closing work ordersIdentify, report and rectify hazardsComplete quality task-based risk assessmentsIdentify opportunities for continuous improvementTo be considered for this position, you will ideally have the following:Technically minded and interested in working in a 'hands on' role.Mining or heavy industrial/ manufacturing experience would be highly regardedExperience with completing lubrication inspections, changing oil and taking oil samples, greasing and lubricating equipment is advantageousBasic Lubrication Course highly desirable- CAT SOS experience preferredForklift Licence/EWP is an advantage but can be providedHR license is desirableBasic Microsoft office suitePlease note to be considered, you must hold all relevant licenses that are applicable to your skillset as well as a valid full C class drivers licence.
LocationThe role will be based at our Western Australia Iron Ore sites in the Pilbara, on an 8/6 7/7 rotating days and night shift, fly in-fly out roster from Perth.
These sites include South Flank, Yandi, Jimblebar and Newman.
