About the role A Clinical Facilitator acts as a university representative to provide support and mentorship to students whilst out on clinical placements. The role involves periodic casual work supervising students in years 2, 3 and 4 of their studies across various facilities in Perth. The usual commitment is approximately 3 hours per week/per student for 3 out of the 5 weeks they are on placement. Key Responsibilities Supervise/support/mentor students whilst on placement Identify students at risk, liaise with the clinical education team and the site supervisor to ensure appropriate supports and strategies are put into place Providing both verbal and written feedback to the students about their performance Completion of relevant professional development/supervision training through the university Attendance at meetings as required by the Director of Clinical Education Other duties as identified by the Director of Clinical Education Comply with policies and procedures in all aspects of their work and conduct Qualifications, skills & experience Qualified to at least a minimum of an undergraduate qualification and be an AHPRA registered Physiotherapist Significant relevant clinical experience Experience with the clinical supervision of students or relevant post-graduate studies Knowledge and understanding of current scholarship and/or professional practice in the relevant discipline Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds Knowledge of, and experience in adhering to workplace policies and procedures in the areas of work health safety, equity, diversity and promoting a respectful workplace culture Ability to deliver quality learning and teaching practices in multiple modes Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to foster high levels of collegiality and ability to empathise with students How to apply Please apply online with a resume and cover letter outlining your suitability for the role.
