Your role in Housing and Homelessness Services will support the department to provide housing and homelessness services to those who may be homeless or in a crisis situation.

The Jimaylya Topsy Harry Centre offers a safe place for individuals in crisis due to addiction, domestic and family violence, lack of affordable housing, or unemployment to seek assistance with intense case management, help from support agencies, or temporary accommodation.
Responsibilities
* Provide support and supervision to all customers who are homeless or have alcohol-related social issues in a caring and non-judgmental manner.
* Understand and appreciate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and societies, and the issues impacting them in contemporary society.
* Maintain clear and concise documentation.
* Monitor customer activities within the centre, ensuring rules and policies are adhered to.
* Carry out duties to maintain a healthy, safe, clean, and tidy environment, including upkeep and maintenance of residents' areas.
* Liaise and communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including customers, community members, police, ambulance staff, departmental staff, government, and non-government service providers.
* Participate in continuous improvement processes to advance quality and efficiency.
* Support and maintain a workplace safety culture by applying and adhering to Workplace Health and Safety policies and practices.
