As a Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing, automating, and streamlining the mission-critical processes that ensure the operational relevance of the ADF's defence platforms.This is a full-time permanent position, based in RAAF Base, Edinburgh – South Australia. Interstate applicants are welcome to apply however relocation to South Australia will be required. This position will require an active AGSVA NV1 clearance and the successful candidate must be willing to upgrade to an NV2. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and integrate process automation solutions to replace manual data entry tasks.Enhance the Software Management Environment to improve task management and integration with other tools.Implement machine-to-machine data transfer processes for internal and external agency integration.Develop APIs, dashboards, and workflows to streamline operations.Maintain and update software tools based on user feedback and evolving operational requirements.Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and quality control processes to ensure robustness of solutions.Collaborate with domain experts to align software tools with engineering management plans and mission-critical objectives.Required Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge: Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science.Proven experience in software and process automation.Proficiency in programming such as Python, Java, C++, and SQL.Familiarity with tools like Oracle, JIRA, MATLAB, and VBA scripting.Strong understanding of database management, server-client frameworks, and API development.Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and meet project deadlines.If you're ready to shape tomorrow, let's get started.
