The Opportunity The role: Corporate Waiter We are seeking a highly organised, reliable corporate waiter to join our team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will be client-focused, demonstrating the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times. They will have a proven track record of prioritising conflicting work requirements with a flexible approach to resourcing and allocation of work. Day-to-day, you'll be responsible for: Providing prompt, efficient and courteous hospitality service to Herbert Smith Freehills clients, partners and staff. Liaising with Corporate Head Waiter and Client Services Coordinator to confirm food, beverage and set up requirements for meetings and events. Monitoring functions and services in the meeting room booking system, ensuring prompt and accurate delivery of services in compliance with standards and procedures. Providing waiter service and audio visual/video conference assistance to meetings and functions. Ensuring meeting rooms are cleared, cleaned and restocked promptly at meeting/ and event conclusion, in compliance with standards and procedures. Restocking meeting room equipment and consumables daily, ensuring stock rotated and par levels maintained. Assisting Corporate Head Waiter in monitoring and ordering consumables and recording stock utilisation. Providing support and backfill for the Café when required, including operation of POS system. Assisting with occasional kitchen duties and/or after hours and off site events as required. Ensuring Food Safety plan is adhered to and compliant with regards to all areas including but not limited to; foodservice and food handling, cleanliness in all work areas and dishwashing. Complying with WHS obligations and responsibilities in accordance with the requirements for this role as set out in legislation and the firms' policies and procedures. To be successful in this position you will have: Premium boardroom/restaurant/hotel waiter experience. Silver Service. Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification. Basic Outlook.Experience with room and resource scheduling software and POS systems.
