The position supports Community Corrections to provide assessments, evidence-based interventions, and case consultation for offenders on community-based orders.

Hours per fortnight73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.
DutiesUndertake comprehensive assessment and treatment planning of offenders, providing evidence-based, best practice interventions in an assigned area of practice.Maintain offender case notes, records and administrative information and prepare formal assessments and other reports in accordance with relevant practice standards.Provide leadership, clinical direction, and guidance to Community Corrections staff.Work collaboratively with Practice Leads and Unit Managers to provide training, expert advice, quality assurance and case management support to Probation Officers working with offenders subject to community-based intervention.Liaise and build relationships with stakeholders to support community and victim-survivor safety.Perform other duties as envisaged by the assigned classification under the relevant industrial award or agreement and in accordance with the skills, competency and training of the occupant.A degree of at least 3 years duration in Psychology, Social Work or Counselling or equivalent as provided by a recognised university.Pre-employment ChecksThe Head of State Service has determined that the person nominated for this vacancy is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer.
