Job Responsibilities
* Deliver exceptional guest service by demonstrating a passion for excellence, ensuring requests are met promptly and efficiently.
* Provide personalised service to all guests, achieving the essence of pleasure.
* Embody the art of French hospitality through a positive attitude and proactive approach.
* Perform tasks efficiently, maintaining a clean and tidy work environment and preventing cross-contamination.
* Assist other departments as needed, fostering good working relationships.
* Collaborate with Chefs and Senior Chefs while working in the kitchen.
* Organise and operate a kitchen section, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
* Knowledge of basic cooking methods, including preparation of meats, seafood, starches, fruits, and vegetables, and desserts.
* Prepare, cook, and plate outlet or banquet menu items according to established recipe cards and Sofitel F&B Brand standards.
* Report maintenance, hygiene, and hazard issues promptly.
* Awareness of departmental targets and strive to achieve them as part of the team.
* Assist Senior Chefs with menu preparation and ensure adequate supplies for service.
* Maintain high service and brand standards during shifts.
Qualifications
* Certification in Commercial Cookery.
* 1-2 Years' experience in a similar role.
* Strong communication skills.
* Professional appearance representing the Sofitel brand.
* Ability to work rotating rosters, including weekends and public holidays.
* Genuine passion for gastronomy and creativity in culinary arts.
* Working understanding of food safety standards and HACCP.
* Previous experience in high-volume kitchens.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
