About the School: Logan City Special School opened in 1972 as the Woodridge Opportunity School. It's name later changed to Woodridge Special School and in 1997 was renamed as Logan City Special School in order to recognise that the students came from the whole of Logan City, not only the Woodridge area. Our school is located directly opposite the Logan City Council offices and the Logan Entertainment Centre. At Logan City Special School we cater for students who require significant adaptations to access learning through a high level of individualised programming by specialist teachers. About the Role: As the Computer Systems Administrator you will lead and manage the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Team and ICT operations of the school to ensure that the day to day aspects of the school's ICT systems are managed professionally and align with departmental priorities. The Computer Systems Administrator reports to the Principal/Executive Principal or nominated delegate. Responsibilities include: Oversight of ICT infrastructure at current site and planning for commencement of second site. IT and technology support for all staff, including administration, leadership team, teachers and teacher aides. Including CFT's, desktop PC's, managing user accounts. IT support for students and classrooms, ensuring all students and classes have access to integrated technology to support and maximise student learning and engagement. Providing high level strategic advice, analysis and support to the senior management team in relation to ICT. Apply innovative techniques, ICT solutions, incorporating leading edge technology, to meet school requirements. Provide and initiate quality procurement support for goods and services and administrative ICT hardware and software, including the raising of purchase orders, ensuring compliance with the State Purchasing Policy. Provide expert technical advice and support on the selection, procurement and installation of new hardware and software, and as well as the enhancement of existing systems.
