Novated lease options for personal use.About your role:The Senior Network Operations Engineer provides technical leadership to solve the real-time challenges of integrating and operating renewables and other emerging technologies within the context of the broader distribution network. As a subject matter expert in your field, you provide RPEQ day-to-day and strategic engineering advice on the complex dynamics of Energy Queensland’s (EQL) distribution networks.The role provides first-in technical expertise and support to Network Operations’ group and other internal and external stakeholders as a primary means of achieving Network Operations business objectives. It also provides strategic input into emerging technologies, market and policy initiatives.You will provide direction and decisions for the operation of the network to meet the organisation's operating philosophy as it relates to the introduction of renewables to the network. The key renewables technology you will work in will be Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Stand Alone Power Systems (SAPS), microgrids and Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS).This is a very niche, interesting, and exciting part of the business to be involved in. You will gain unique exposure working with a brand-new team and collaborating with other divisions in Energy Queensland. If you would like to utilise your engineering degree to solve real-time operational problems using emerging technologies, whilst having a positive impact in the lives of Queenslanders, this is the role for you.The remuneration for your new role is from $176,846 plus 14.75% super for a 9-day fortnight and from $199,836 plus 14.75% super for a 10-day fortnight.About you:Important to the success of your role if your:Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering and your RPEQ registration.Demonstrated ability to build knowledge and currency in new and emerging technologies (including BESS, SAPS and DERMS), and how they apply to the industry.Knowledge and expertise in all aspects related to the planning, design, maintenance and operation of transmission, sub transmission and distribution power networks with particular emphasis on power system operational issues.Familiarity and skills in all aspects related to the design and operation of protection, system control and data acquisition and other secondary systems with particular emphasis on power system operational issues.Demonstrated commitment to improvements in safety performance, the implementation of best practice environment management and full operational legislative compliance including the Acts, Standards and Codes of Practice that are relevant to the electricity supply industry.What matters most to us is our values, We’re Safe – We Belong - We Grow - We Deliver.
