Collectively we make the impossible possible.About the OPPORTUNITYWe have an exciting opportunity for a Compartment Completion Coordinator to join our Hunter Class Frigate Program based at SA-Osborne Naval Shipyard, reporting to the Compartment Completion Manager. The Compartment Completion Coordinator will play a crucial role in the progressive completion and delivery of the Hunter Class Frigate Program to our customer.Key responsibilities include:Conducting comprehensive compartment and tank inspections, documenting identified issues, and analysing any emerging trends.Supporting the Compartment Completion Manager to maintain the Compartment Completion schedule.Supporting labelling of ship systems, equipment & compartments.Organizing inspection activities with multiple key stakeholders, developing strong relationships with customer representatives.Supporting Area Managers for the management and de-confliction of activities in accordance with the Ship Plan of Day (SPOD).Managing safety, quality, trade resourcing, risk, and opportunities for the Compartment Completion scope.Supporting continuous improvement and sharing of lessons learnt across the business to contribute to Ship on Ship learning.Ensuring effective communication with the Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Advisors.Maintaining comprehensive records of compartment completion progress, ensuring all inspections and documentation are in place and up to date.About YOUDegree or trade qualification with experience relevant to shipbuilding.Knowledge and demonstrated experience in inspection in relevant shipbuilding disciplines.Confined Space certificate or the ability to obtain.Proactive and detail-oriented.Self-sufficient, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.Ability to interpret technical drawings and specification requirements.Strong background in conducting inspections with Inspection qualification highly desirable.Excellent communication skills both written and verbal to communicate effectively across multiple levels of the business.Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and ability to learn relevant software packages used on HCF.Ability to balance conflicting priorities to deliver against customer and business requirements, with appropriate stakeholder management.Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations.We believe in hiring for potential; we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet all the criteria.We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight.About USYou will be joining a workplace that truly cares about your wellbeing.
