The role requires assessing, planning, and implementing therapeutic interventions to assist patients in improving their daily living skills.Job Title: Occupational TherapistJob Summary: This is a contract position (monthly or fortnightly), and the therapist will work directly with patients on a monthly basis to achieve their rehabilitation goals.Key Responsibilities:Assess patients’ physical, emotional, and mental capabilities through detailed evaluations.Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.Implement therapeutic exercises, techniques, and activities to improve motor skills, strength, coordination, and other necessary functions.Provide support and guidance to patients, their families, and caregivers to promote independence in daily living tasks.Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, physical therapists, and nurses, to ensure comprehensive care.Document patient progress, maintaining detailed and accurate records of treatments, goals, and outcomes.Educate patients on adaptive equipment and techniques to facilitate better function and independence.Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress or changes in their condition.Provide monthly reports summarizing patient progress and therapy effectiveness.Keep up-to-date with industry trends, therapy techniques, and regulatory requirements.Requirements:Education: A degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) from an accredited program.Skills:Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques and treatment methods.Ability to develop personalised, evidence-based care plans.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
