About Our Partnership Stride, in partnership with Wellways and Clarity Health Care will soon be opening the Western NSW Medicare Mental Health Centre, with locations in Dubbo and Bathurst. The Medicare Mental Health Centres, formerly Head to Health, are an important part of Australia's reformed mental health and wellbeing system.
The Medicare Mental Health Centre is supported by funding from Western NSW Primary Health Network through the Australian Government's PHN Program. The Dubbo and Bathurst Medicare Mental Health Centres will provide the community with a free, safe and welcoming space to access mental health advice, supports and services. Walk-ins will be welcomed, services are confidential, and no appointment or referral will be required.

Role Overview The Clinical Manager will support the Centre Manager in the establishment of the new service, overseeing the development and implementation of the clinical operations and systems for centres in Bathurst and Dubbo. The focus of this role is on the day-to-day delivery of excellence in quality clinical care provision, ensuring all clinical governance and compliance targets are implemented and met for the two site-based teams. The role will monitor the quality of services to consumers and provide clinical leadership, management and developmental support to the service's clinical staff and operations, supporting innovation and quality improvement to ensure evidence-based outcomes for people accessing the service.
Requirements Must have one of the following: General AHPRA registration as a Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Mental Health Occupational Therapist OR Mental Health Nurse OR AASW registration as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker. Experience leading a multidisciplinary team or extensive experience as a Senior Clinician providing clinical support to a team, including the ability to lead the coordination of care for people with complex needs. This includes consultation and engagement with a wide range of professionals. Knowledge & understanding of the theory underpinning evidence-based interventions & clinical practice as well as demonstrated excellence in the practical application of such, in the areas of mental health and alcohol and drug use. Highly developed communication skills and the ability to engage with consumers, advocate on their behalf and establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, clients, families & friends and stakeholders. Demonstrated experience in managing clinical governance, supervision and mentoring of staff, process development and monitoring, data capture and reporting to meet key contractual benchmarks. Experience in the use of electronic client / customer management systems, and experience with workforce management systems and Microsoft Office applications. Current C class drivers licence. Must be eligible to apply / currently hold a WWCC and NDIS worker screening.
