Job Description
Skyfuel is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive it's growth and profitability of the Skyfuel business through extending operating envelope to new regions and customer segments in a highly contested competitive market.
Key Responsibilities:
* Adherance to Viva Group HSSE objectives in the context of the Skyfuel business unit, including reporting and escalation of operational incidents, performance improvement and safety culture initiatives.
* Financial analysis and reporting of Skyfuel commercial performance, in collaboration with the Commercial Finance team, including P&L, LE and planning activities.
* Skyfuel strategy definition and assessment in alignment with Commercial objectives and growth targets.
* Responsible for meeting budget for the growth and sales objectives under the assigned scope, including monthly reporting, and the identification and realization of margin improvement and growth opportunities for the Skyfuel unit and broader Viva Aviation performance.
* Responsible for day-to-day business administration leveraging Viva support capabilities (HR, Finance, HSSE and Supply Chain). Includes IP development, project definition and capex approvals. Asset selection and deployment in line with customer requirements and logistics optimization.
* Identifies all necessary reorganization of the Skyfuel business to ensure effective commercial operations, service expansion and customer focus.
* Maintains cross-business engagement between aviation agents, supply chain logistics and commercial teams through regular forums, ‘excellence engagements’ and assurance activities, to ensure safe and efficient operation of the Skyfuel Aviation network, and an excellent customer experience.
* Requirement to develop knowledge of aviation pricing (particularly General Aviation), digital and customer experience capabilities and sustainability options as part of the aviation marketing effort
Qualifications
* Relevant tertiary qualifications – business, commerce or technical degree/certificate or extensive exposure to concepts obtained through relevant experience.
* Experience with HSSE Management Systems and Assurance
* Experience with aviation and hydrocarbon supply chain operations a distinct advantage – JIG, LoD, MoC, LMS and other
* Experience in budget analysis and planning
* Understanding of commercial pricing, real estate and logistics management/procurement
* Experience with the ‘Xero’ and/or JDE interface
* Effective team leadership and customer interaction skills in person and virtually
* Exceptional communication and presentation skills using Excel and other formats
* Knowledge of carbon emissions reduction concepts, challenges, mitigation options and their relative costs and availability.
* Cross Viva collaborative approach, demonstrated through previous positions involving multi-team connectivity tools.
Additional Information
Pre-employment medical and health assessment is a requirement for this position and the role incumbent will also be subject to random medical, drug and alcohol assessments. The position is also subject to federal security clearance and ability to obtain an Australian, Security Identification Card (ASIC).
