An exciting opportunity exists for an Occupational Therapy or Psychologist or Social Worker - (Allied Health Practitioner - Senior). This position sits within the Rosella Unit as part of the broader Mental Health and Specialised Services. This purpose-built 6 bed Adolescent Mental Health Unit delivers safe and responsive mental health care that effectively supports and enhances the mental health and wellbeing of young people aged between 13-18 years of age. Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north. Key Responsibilities include:Deliver high level Psychology/Occupational Therapy/Social work clinical services and leadership across one or more specific work units, to stakeholders/customers of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) referred to Adolescent Day Program. Provision of high level independent clinical services including assessment, treatment and case management to children and young people with severe and complex mental health problems, and their carer networks, beyond routine day to day presentations. Demonstrate clinical leadership in advocacy for the mental health needs of service consumers and their carers and relevant agencies within the mental health team. Demonstrate high level knowledge and skills in a practice area of child and youth mental health, with the capacity to engage and communicate with complex systems around young people with mental illnesses. Further training and experience, or the ability to acquire this, in the field of Family Therapy would be highly regarded. Remuneration value up to $13 113 p.m., comprising salary between $4912.70 - $5286.40 p.f., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (temporary position available for six months).
