This dynamic position focuses on customer liaison and field-based observations, supporting recycled water use targets and biosolids processing targets.This role is based in Warrnambool and offers a great balance of office work and field work, taking you to locations including Port Campbell on the Great Ocean Road and Dunkeld in the Southern Grampians. You'll have access to a 4WD fleet vehicle to undertake the duties of this position.Reporting to the Coordinator Water Recycling, you will join a team whose key objective is to support water and sewage operations, through problem solving, risk management, monitoring and project delivery.This is an ongoing full-time position that comes with a salary of $70,953 to $82,269 p.a. plus superannuation.Job DescriptionWhat you'll be doingOn a day-to-day basis, you'll:Visit recycled water properties such as farms, golf courses, and sports ovals, liaise with recycled water customers, and observe recycled water use.Check that on-site recycled water use is being undertaken in accordance with risk management plans.Observe and monitor biosolids processing at Hamilton, Camperdown, and Portland.Report on the progress of recycled water use and biosolids processing to internal staff.Respond to maintenance requests for Wannon Water's recycled water assets and organise corrective work, using internal maintenance staff and local contractors.Manage small capital works projects such as farm troughs, fences, tracks, drainage, and weed management.Organise the annual irrigator maintenance program and soil monitoring programs.Support the treatment operations teams in the field to achieve recycled water usage targets and biosolids drying targets, when needed.Field-based activities will be concentrated in spring and summer, with office-based activities the focus in autumn and winter.Desired Skills and ExperienceWhat you’ll bringWe’re looking for someone with:Qualifications or extensive experience in farm planning, agronomy and rural operations, project management, or recycled water, biosolids, and land management.Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.The ability to undertake field observations of recycled water use, trade waste impacts, and biosolids processing.Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.What we can offerPutting people first comes naturally to us, and that includes the people we employ.
