The Role This position is an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team and addresses the health needs of young people released from custody to the community.
The Senior Aboriginal Health Worker Drug and Alcohol will improve knowledge, skills, and confidence in working with Aboriginal people accessing mental health and/or drug and alcohol services, including Local Health District (LHD) mental health and drug and alcohol services, community managed organisations, primary care, and social support agencies.
The position is responsible for assisting with the development, implementation, and evaluation of systems, processes, and tools for consistent engagement, referral, and transition for Aboriginal people with mental health, social and emotional, and drug and alcohol concerns.
Essential Requirements: This is an identified Aboriginal Health position.
