Sydney Wealth Management Permanent Our client is a leading institutional stockbroking firm seeking a mid-level DTR to support their Institutional Equity Sales team with trade execution. The role will report into the Head of Institutional Sales and work closely with their Senior DTR. You will be responsible for the orderly, timely and compliant execution of client orders in the market for listed securities. Responsibilities: Entry and execution of client orders in a compliant, accurate and timely manner. Maintenance of an orderly market for listed securities. Ensuring that all security transactions are correctly allocated to correct client parties. Liaising with ASX Market Control, ASIC other brokers where required. Ensuring internal and external notification and record keeping requirements relating to order execution are met (e.g. errors register, reporting of short selling). Daily monitoring to comply with financial services laws in accordance with the compliance manual and the firms compliance monitoring program (e.g. Best Execution) Preparing reports and/or provide data/information as requested by compliance and management in relation to trading activities and related matters In consultation with the Head of Sales identifying and implementing process improvements and efficiencies related to the execution function. Backup to bookings and settlements function Special projects & systems implementation Experience: Over 2 years experience in a DTR capacity National DTR Cash Equities Accreditation. Track record of successful work experience of a minimum 2 years’ on a sales desk. A thorough understanding of the current legislation and regulations in relation to the securities industry, including ASX/ASIC Rules, Corporations Act and other relevant material. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
