So, if you love it here as much as we do, and you want to shape our region for the future – you'll want to join our team!Arts, Heritage and Libraries enlivens and enriches the lives of residents and visitors through the provision of library services, creative, cultural and heritage programs.The primary purpose of the role is to lead, motivate and develop the Visitor Liaison team ensuring a high performing culture, delivering on the visitor experience and security strategies for a safe and welcoming environment.Lead the visitor liaison functionality for the Library+ building, Caloundra, including:Management of daily building operational requirements.Delivery of excellent customer service to all building visitors including connecting visitors to relevant staff and services.Providing first tier assistance for building services, events, and programs.Guide and manage the visitor liaison team including:The development and delivery of training, ensuring staff are appropriately trained in contemporary practices to perform role responsibilities.Coordination of a roster to provide required coverage for all building open hours.Monitor and manage team budget.Foster a highly engaged team and a strong customer experience team culture.About youAs a requirement of this role, you will possess Certificate IV in Security Management and a current Queensland security provider licence (Class 1).You will demonstrate experience at a leadership level at a similar public facility or equivalent.You will display positive communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate persuasively, including demonstrated ability to de-escalate incidents and exercise appropriate judgement in challenging situations.You will display strong planning and organisation skills with demonstrated ability to develop plans, coordinate actions, gain cooperation and deliver outcomes.Ability to work regular and consistent weekend shifts (any 5 in 7 days) as rostered, including early morning and evening work.Desirable experience in a library services, customer service, venue or local government environment.Pre-Employment Medical RequiredEssential to your success is physical agility and the level of fitness, strength and dexterity to carry out labouring and frequent heavy lifting & bending.
