This well-established Australian commercial business is currently seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to cover a 2-year secondment.
About the Role
Commencing in January 2025, in this position you will be leading a team of 6 Payroll Officers to complete payroll processing. You responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
* Supervision of the payroll team
* Ensuring the timely and accurate processing of a payroll consisting of full and part-time, fixed term and casual employees.
* Overseeing calculations, including terminations and redundnacy payments, to ensure that they have been calculated correctly and entered to the system correctly.
* Interpreting the EA and various Awards.
* Ensuring all legislative requirements are met.
* Integrity reporting and variance checking and reporting.
* Answering high-end payroll related queries.
* Payroll Tax Calculations for various states.
* Ensuring EOM GL reconciliations are completed.
* Ensuring STP file is lodged on time.
* Ensuring Year End Process is completed.
About You
As an experienced Payroll Manager, you will have overseen a team in a large payroll environment of +3000 employees. You must have extensive knowledge of payroll legislation and requirements, the demonstrated ability to lead and mentor others, and clear and confident communication skills.
