About The Role
As a Support Worker for Sunnyfield, you will actively support and promote quality of life for people living with disability. You will provide a quality service which ensures a person-centred approach, focused on developing each person’s potential to participate as fully and independently as possible within their home and community.
This is a permanent part-time position, working in a house located in Wadalba. Roster will consist of day, afternoon and 2 x active awake shifts; availability to work these shifts is a must.
Key Focus
1. Requires skills and experience in supporting people with disability in their daily life.
2. Supporting clients to live independently in their own home, creating a positive environment.
3. Coordinating health appointments and assessments to ensure the highest quality of care.
4. Integration in the community and active support.
About You
You are passionate about making a difference! As a positive and energetic person, you want to contribute and provide exceptional support to our clients.
You also have:
1. Disability experience is a must.
2. Demonstrated experience supporting clients with behaviours.
3. Experience in providing high-quality support with daily operations (e.g., household tasks, supporting people with disability with tasks of daily living).
4. Understanding of service provision for people with disability and person-centred practices.
5. Effective time management skills and the ability to multi-task.
6. Effective interpersonal, written, and spoken communication skills.
7. Basic computer proficiency and experience in using Microsoft Office and mobile devices.
8. Demonstrated ability to problem solve, work independently, and as an effective team member.
9. A valid driver's license.
