Hospital Specialist Representative – NSW Southern Sydney, Illawarra, South Coast & ACT
The Position: An exciting opportunity has opened within an established Hospital Specialist team for a dynamic and motivated individual. Reporting to the Specialist Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing your own territory, including public hospitals and private rooms, while engaging primarily with Cardiologists.
Territory Overview: This role covers Southern New South Wales, including the Sutherland Shire, Wollongong, and surrounding areas, as well as key Sydney metro locations (Royal Prince Alfred, St Vincent's, Prince of Wales, Hurstville, and St George). Additionally, you will cover the ACT and Goulburn.
Key Responsibilities:
* Exceed sales targets for promoted products, focusing on unit growth and market share acquisition.
* Identify and target key customers within your territory.
* Meet access targets for key customers and achieve set coverage and frequency standards.
* Ensure in-field days and interactions meet performance expectations.
* Facilitate inclusion of promoted products in hospital protocols.
* Organize and manage customer engagement activities, including in-service programs, journal clubs, and case conferences.
* Support GP Representatives in planning and preparing GP education sessions.
* Effectively manage allocated budget to maximize sales results.
* Continuously develop technical and professional knowledge to excel in product sales.
* Build trusting and credible relationships with customers.
* Contribute to team success and actively participate in territory activities.
* Complete a professional development plan and strive for personal growth.
Requirements:
* Ideally at least 2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical sales role (Primary or Specialty Care).
* Proven track record of sales success in a similar setting.
* High level of proficiency in selling skills and territory management.
* Strong influencing, negotiation, and persuasion abilities.
* Confidence in customer networking within the hospital environment.
* Proven ability to manage stakeholders, competing priorities, and problem-solving.
* Experience in monitoring performance and communicating through digital means.
