A rare opportunity currently exists for a motivated Automotive Wholesale Buyer/Valuer to join our Sales Team at Sydney City Toyota Waterloo
Role Aim:- To provide the Vehicle Sales departments (both prestige and non-prestige) with appropriate supply of retail able and wholesale used vehicles within management's purchasing stock policies and financial guidelines, as well as assists with used-vehicle department management as directed.
Used Car Wholesale Buyer/Valuer - Duties & Responsibilities; -
Discuss stock/purchasing requirements and forecasts sales for future months with used-vehicle managers
Attends auctions approved by management and purchases vehicles weekly
Approves all paperwork from auctions and provides proper documentation to the office for purchases
Notifies the used vehicle department managers of anticipated delivery of purchases
Tracks results of auction purchases and compares gross profits from auction vehicles with those of trade-ins
Analyses sales history and trends to determine the best purchasing stock mix
Tracks customer interest in vehicles not in stock (lost sales)
Utilisation of online platforms including - AUTOGRAB
Utilisation of Live market, purchasing used cars through traditional and creative means
Achieve monthly targets and KPI’s
Ensure correct follow up and admin duties are maintained and compliant
Interpret research data to guide purchasing decisions that can generate profit
Maintain good rapport with internal customers/colleagues
Keeps abreast of current market and current valuation of used vehicles
Support Wholesale-vehicle department with appraisals when required
Keeps abreast of and ensures compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations regarding the used-vehicle industry
Develop and maintain network sources (wholesalers and retailers) for both buying and selling
Assists with wholesaling of aged inventory and unwanted trades
Attends managers meetings as requested
Other tasks as assigned at management discretion.
