About the role
We are currently seeking a Plant Assessor to join us on the Eastern Freeway Burke to Tram Alliance. We have a strong pipeline with many opportunities for career progression right here in Victoria.
Key responsibilities
1. Inspection of plant and equipment against the LORA Primary Standards, Legislative requirements and project specific requirements
2. Gather supporting information as per the Plant mobilisation documents and upload into the System and provide reports as required.
3. Conduct regular compliance checks to ensure Suppliers and project teams are notified of any upcoming inspection expiry dates.
4. Provide reports and data on Plant Safety & Environmental Management and issues.
5. Up-skill the site team in plant management and plant assessment through hands on and theoretical training.
6. Assist the project with Management of Breakdowns & Maintenance requirement for plant & equipment.
7. Ensure fuel utilisation is tracked and recorded against each asset.
About
8. Trade qualifications – Mechanical (Diesel Fitter or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic)
9. Demonstrated track record in managing the maintenance of fleets, plants, and equipment, along with robust skills in scheduling and strategic planning.
10. Experience in preventative maintenance, electrical and mechanical fault. diagnostics, and repairs of Civil/Mining Earthmoving Equipment.
11. Ability to effectively communicate information to internal and external stakeholders
12. Able to engage in proactive behaviour and exercise initiative, managing time and multiple plant at once.
13. Detail-oriented and self-motivated professional with a proven track record of meeting deadlines
14. A demonstrable understanding of safe working practices as they relate to the type of work to be performed.
