About us
Succession Ecology is a multi-faceted environmental business with four key areas of focus: ecological consulting, environmental research and development, landscape-scale restoration, and the production and sale of native seed. We focus on finding unique solutions in nature and we are passionate about applying ecological processes to achieve cost-effective outcomes for our clients. Our philosophy is, why engineer a solution when nature can do it better? We specialise in arid ecosystems and are passionate about developing new and innovative techniques to apply to ecosystem management.
Our 21-person strong company is intensively collaborative and value-driven. We trust our employees to make decisions to successfully deliver projects from start to finish and we offer them continual support to ensure they grow in their roles. We strongly focus on culture, values, team building, and business growth. Succession Ecology has been nationally recognised by winning the 2023 Telstra Best of Business, Promoting Sustainability Award for South Australia and the 2024 CORE Innovation Hot 30 Sustainability Innovation Award.
Our Ecology Team specialises in the large-scale management and restoration of arid systems. Ecology projects include the assessment of the ecological impacts of industrial developments, and strategies to avoid, minimise and offset those impacts. In those projects we apply scientific methods and data analysis to optimise ecosystem management and restoration.
