You will require experience in the broad practice of Emergency Medicine, including Adult medicine, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, Trauma and the full range of emergencies encountered in various specialties.We are a regional trauma centre, seeing major trauma from road, farm and factory. We are supported by a growing number of specialties - O & G, Psychiatry, ICU, Plastics, Orthopaedics, Geriatrics as well as General Surgery and Medicine. You will manage a wide variety and acuity of patients.A key part of this role will be assisting the Clinical Director in providing an appropriate teaching program and to ensure the supervision of clinical practice and training of undergraduates and postgraduates in the emergency department.Position overviewFull Time (76 hours per fortnight), On-going position (consideration will also be provided for applicants looking for fixed term or part time employment)Warrnambool CampusSalary dependent on skills and experience relevant to positionWhat you bringThe successful applicant will have a broad experience in the field of Emergency Medicine and hold suitable qualifications as a medical practitioner registered with AHPRA, be a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Emergency Physicians and hold a current registration with the Medical Practitioners Board of Australia. Strong effective communication, conflict management and team building skills are essential to this role, as this will have a positive attitude towards training of junior medical staff.The successful applicant will have proficient leadership, organisational and interpersonal skills, as well as developed written and verbal communication skills.
