With a strong commitment to our people, GCG has been steadfast in ensuring that our company thrived both during and after the challenges of 2020, and we are excited about our continued growth trajectory!The Role: Permanent Part-time or Full-time (Hybrid and Flexible) Reporting to the HR Manager, this Brisbane-based position requires a strong HR Generalist Practitioner focus.Key responsibilities: Support the HR Manager to drive HR strategy in the region and contribute to the execution of HR initiatives and projects.Contribute to the achievement of regional business objectives by delivering high quality and timely HR services across the full employee lifecycle.Provide guidance to regional business leaders on policy and procedures, employment conditions/variations, employee relations, performance management and remuneration matters.Support and advise on the management of complex and sensitive people management issues, developing solutions that maintain culture and limit risk.Provide support and guidance to employees on HR policy.Assist with HR Team skills and knowledge development including upskilling our HR Advisor(s).Support the business in the interpretation and application of employment legislation, Fair Work Act, industry and policy conditions.Advise on the management of grievance and dispute resolution.Advise on Injury and Illness matters, including drafting of medical management plans/suitable duties plans, and workers compensation claims where required.Generalist HR practitioner with a willingness to 'get their hands dirty' across the entire employee lifecycle.About You To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have: A minimum of 5 years prior experience as an HR generalist.Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline.Sound understanding of the Australian employment law framework and contemporary HR practices.Solid experience with end-to-end recruitment and onboarding activities.Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders.Flexible and content to work on complex HR matters in addition to a range of HR day to day HR administration tasks.High level of emotional intelligence, interpersonal and communication skills.A strong sense of accountability and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes.Experience with MS office suite and HRIS.We are looking to fill this role as soon as possible as our current HR Team member is retiring in the new year and we will be interviewing all suitable candidates as applications are received.
