About the role:
We are seeking an experienced HR Driver who is safe, reliable and possesses a high work ethic to join our team in Tamworth Depot. This role will predominately involve driving a Rigid truck performing deliveries to farm, commercial and retail sites.
In this role, you will ensure the safe, seamless and sustainable delivery of bulk fuels and lubricants and onsite refuelling around our regions. Additionally, you will be required on an ad hoc basis to maintain a clean and tidy Depot while adhering to compliance requirements such as learning management systems.
A day in the life as an HR Driver can involve:
* Make a difference for our customers – you’re their hero! Arriving on time to provide them critical resources to support their businesses.
* Never stop caring – your safety and the safety of your colleagues and community is paramount. Engage in regular safety talks, conduct pre-delivery assessments on your vehicle, and perform safety inspections on sites to discuss hazards and risks.
* Find new ways – discuss with peers and leaders to identify opportunities to improve systems and reporting, and find safer and more efficient ways to succeed.
* Own it – as an Ampol driver, you represent us across various locations, engaging directly with customers, community members, colleagues, and leaders.
* Connect to win – discuss with scheduling and fleet teams to confirm run sheets and understand the customers you’ll be supporting.
Must haves:
* Commitment to Ampol’s values
* A current HR licence
* Ability to use or learn cab technology (e.g., delivery PC and electronic work diary)
* Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) with persuasive ability to influence change.
* Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
* Safety-focused.
Nice to haves:
* Operational knowledge of relevant laws and statutes related to the transport of petroleum products, including OH&S, Environmental, Dangerous Goods, and Transportation rules and regulations.
* Dangerous goods licence
* Safe Load Pass
