Kirkwood Continental Deli is a well-established and highly regarded restaurant and deli in Swanbourne, known for its authentic European and Mediterranean cuisine.
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our team on a full-time basis. 482 visa sponsorship may be available for the right candidate.
The Role
As a skilled and versatile Chef, you will play a key role in menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management, ensuring the highest quality standards. You will oversee breakfast, lunch, and dinner service, managing a diverse menu that includes European and Italian cuisine.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and execute a wide range of European and Italian dishes, maintaining authentic flavors and presentation standards.
* Manage kitchen operations, including stock control, supplier coordination, and cost management.
* Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to quality standards.
* Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring compliance with Australian regulations.
* Collaborate with management to develop and refine the menu, incorporating seasonal ingredients and optimizing efficiency.
Requirements:
* Minimum Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
* At least two years of professional experience as a Chef, preferably in European and Italian cuisine.
* Proven ability to manage a busy kitchen environment and oversee all aspects of food preparation and service.
* Expertise in menu planning, food safety, and cost control.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, maintaining consistency in food quality.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
