About the role
Nexus Airlines and Aviair is seeking a vibrant Ground Handler to join our expanding team. This role will be responsible for ensuring a smooth operation of ground support services and maintaining a high standard of presentation of aircraft, vehicles, and premises. This role is a key liaison between Ground Operations, Operations and the Senior Base Pilot as well as the Senior Base Engineer in order to achieve positive outcomes for the company assets.
Key Duties and responsibilities of the role include
1. Performing ground support in dispatch and receipt of flights
2. Loading and unloading of aircraft supplies including catering and consumables
3. Provide ground support to aircrew by preparing and securing aircraft, and passenger and freight handling
4. Operating and driving aircraft service equipment
5. Perform aircraft cleaning including catering equipment
6. Provide base upkeep (hangar, offices, carpark, company vehicles, company properties and gardens), including but not limited to: repairs, resupply of stock, gardening and general housekeeping
7. Conduct bus transfer as required for crew, passengers and freight
8. Delivery of training to Ground Handling Agents under supervision by the Ground Instructor
9. Assist with port set up and pack down, as needed
10. Record keeping and documentation of service and cleaning activities
11. Comply with Company OH&S policies, site security procedures, and Drug and Alcohol Management Plan

In addition to meeting the minimum requirements, you will need to demonstrate that you have good interpersonal skills and ability to positively contribute to a team environment. The minimum experience and qualifications are as follows:
1. Efficient time management and impeccable attention to detail
2. Excellence in face-to-face customer service
3. Good physical fitness
4. Hold a current Manual Driving License
5. Ability to obtain and hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
6. Ability to travel from time to time to other ports for set up and training
7. Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, Public Holidays and split shifts
