About the role Our Tier 1 mining client is seeking a Civil Construction Supervisor to join their Decarbonisation project team, under the Major projects portfolio. Report directly to the Project Superintendent.
The role involves ensuring Contractors are supported to deliver projects safely, efficiently; and to high standards that meet our end user's expectations and requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversight of multiple contracting companies and projects on site
* Review and interpretation of Project drawings
* Liaising with Superintendents, Site Team, Contractors, and Stakeholders on relevant matters
* Lease management with Multiple contracting teams for handover and SIMOPS
* Field Leadership and BMS obligations
* Continuous stakeholder relationship building and communications
The incumbent will be responsible for meeting all responsibilities as outlined in the Health, Safety and Environment Policies. This includes participation in any training and safety initiatives implemented by the company and compliance with all safety directives and work instructions. Any incidents or potential hazards must be reported immediately to their leader, and Personal Protective Equipment must be utilized correctly.
Requirements
* Relative project or construction supervision experience
* Experience with completions management systems
* Post 10 years of construction experience
* At least 5 years as a supervisor in mining
* Excellent stakeholder management skills
* Ability to develop trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders while balancing operational excellence
* Experience in High Voltage distribution networks overhead and underground
* Capable of passing the applicable legislation examination
* Strong knowledge of Australian standards, regulations, and codes of practice associated with HS&E, construction, inspections
