Your new role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Applications Business Analyst to join the dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in gathering and analysing business requirements for new and upgraded applications, working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, and developing comprehensive business process models.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Gather and Analyse Requirements:
o Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs.
o Develop use cases and business process models.
2. Develop and Maintain Documentation:
o Create and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRDs).
o Ensure BRDs clearly document the purpose, scope, functionality, and non-functional requirements of applications.
3. Stakeholder Engagement:
o Facilitate requirements workshops and conduct surveys.
o Analyze data to identify and prioritize key requirements.
o Build and maintain strong professional relationships within the organisation.
4. Requirements Traceability:
o Create and manage Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs).
o Track relationships between requirements and other artifacts such as test cases, design documents, and source code.
5. Support Development and Testing:
o Work with developers to clarify requirements and review design documents.
o Participate in testing new and upgraded applications.
6. Training and Support:
o Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for users.
o Provide ongoing support and answer user questions.
What you'll need to succeed
* Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (Business, Information Systems, or similar) with subsequent experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
* Demonstrated prior experience in a similar role implementing business applications.
* Demonstrated understanding of current and emerging HR/Payroll issues and IT business processing solutions in a large, complex organisation.
