Lilydale, Yarra Valley & High Country VIC Government - Local (Government & Defence) The Head of Organisational Strategy will strengthen Yarra Ranges Council's strategy, policy, and corporate reporting capabilities, with a focus on driving organisational maturity and performance. You will be responsible for key planning and strategic initiatives, overseeing the development and implementation of the Council Plan and guiding the annual planning cycle. This is a leadership role with broad impact, responsible for coordinating multiple business activities across Council, including Financial Services, Asset Management, Service Planning, and Tier One strategies. You will lead two direct reports, driving the alignment of strategy with risk, resilience, and community-based outcomes. This is a full-time permanent position (38 hours per week). This is a Band 8 role with a salary range between $121,000 and $130,500 per annum, plus superannuation. Experience and skills we're looking for Strong experience in strategic planning, policy development, and corporate reporting within a government or similar environment. Proven ability to lead teams, manage operations, and build strong relationships across various stakeholders. Expertise in strategy mapping, risk management, and the development of evaluation frameworks. A collaborative approach with the ability to influence stakeholders, and an ability to drive continuous improvement and organisational maturity.
