About the Role
As an Economist (manager), you will play a pivotal role in our team, developing and managing key client relationships, driving new opportunities, managing small teams (1-5 staff) and delivering successful outcomes across multiple client projects. From shaping the future of Australia's infrastructure networks, to supporting our energy transition and guiding clients through a world shaped by global megatrends, you will help build trust in society and address crucial community challenges. Together, we will make a lasting impact and solve important societal problems.
You'll help solve complex problems by:
Problem solving: developing strategic business cases that drive informed decision-making
Economic modelling: conducting sophisticated economic modelling to assess and forecast outcomes
Insightful reporting: crafting high-impact reports that deliver key insights
In our Consulting Team, your impact will be seen by:
Building trusted relationships with clients through innovative engagement delivery and problem-solving.
Coaching and supporting team development with hands-on economics, regulatory and policy analysis expertise.
Overseeing and conducting economic modelling (including Input-Output and Computable General Equilbrium modelling) to assess community and economy-wide impacts.
Transforming data into strategic insights using advanced tools like SQL, R, Python, PowerBI, QGIS and Tableau.
Leading the creation of impactful reports, presentations, models and other tools for a range of private sector clients.
Ideally, you hold a degree with a specialisation in economics. Previous experience working with industry or government in a related field is highly preferred. You are passionate about driving change and working with others to address economic, community, and social issues with creative and effective solutions. You excel in a collaborative and dynamic environment, possess a natural talent for problem-solving, and are eager to join a firm that values reimagining the possible for its clients and stakeholders. Most importantly, you act with integrity and show genuine care for the people you work with.
