Waddington Primary School (PS) is seeking a hard-working and motivated Teacher who is passionate about Health and Physical Education (HPE).
The successful applicant will ideally be a passionate, and skilled educator who has strong behaviour management and organisational skills. They will ideally be committed to following our whole school approaches, explicit teaching and instructional strategies. You should exhibit a strong understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum and should also possess the ability to plan for school improvement using and responding to all data sources, ensuring curriculum and pedagogical development is current and ongoing.
The successful applicant should be flexible, adaptive, and be able to apply the strategies of differentiated instruction and explicit teaching. You will ideally have a passion for the HPE curriculum area and a deep understanding of Fundamental Movement Skills and how to engage a wide range of students in the HPE curriculum. Knowledge of KIDDO and Sporting Schools is desirable.
Waddington PS is a small school that provides individual attention to all of our students from Kindergarten to Year six. We have a strong focus on pastoral care and value the positive relationships we have with our school community. We cater to families seeking individualised care and attention and a strong community feel.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
