Your Opportunity
Based in Hobart, KPMG Australia’s local office is committed to delivering tailored solutions with a profound understanding of the Tasmanian context and a dedication to the community. The team provides services across audit, assurance, risk advisory, business advisory, and taxation compliance.
The role of Manager in KPMG’s Enterprise Risk Consulting team offers a dynamic opportunity to work closely with Boards and Executive Management. You will support them in navigating their business risks and achieving strategic and operational goals. Working with clients at all levels, you will help manage everything from day-to-day operational risks to shaping strategic plans. Our local clients span Government (utilities, education, healthcare, infrastructure, financial services), Local Government, and not-for-profit organisations.
Key Responsibilities
* Emphasis will be placed on your internal audit experience, as it is crucial for this role. As an experienced Manager, you will:
* Lead and manage a portfolio of internal audit engagements, delivering high-quality outcomes for clients.
* Conduct comprehensive internal audits to assess the effectiveness of controls and risk management frameworks.
* Provide insights and recommendations to enhance business processes and control environments.
* Develop internal audit plans in collaboration with clients, aligning with their strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
* Deliver risk advisory projects, including compliance, regulatory audits, performance audits, and governance reviews.
* Foster strong relationships with clients, aiding in business development and maintaining professional networks.
* Mentor and lead team members, helping them to develop their careers.
* Expand your understanding of KPMG’s diverse service offerings and identify ways to further support our clients beyond risk assurance.

Your Experience

* Relevant post-graduate professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, or CIA are highly regarded.
* Proven experience in coaching and mentoring team members and junior staff.
* Experience in internal audit and risk consulting, preferably in a professional services firm, government, or industry.
* A track record of leading high-performing teams and managing multiple concurrent projects.
