Your role will include:
1. Lead and support design activities, including the role of owner's engineer, supporting clients in the development, construction, and management of their projects.
2. Responsible for engineering activities, including managing sub-contractors and providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
3. Collaborate with other departments, such as mechanical, process, structural, civil engineering, and project management, to achieve project key performance indicators (KPIs) and requirements.
4. Provide mentoring to less experienced engineers and peers.
5. Conduct site visits and provide recommendations for improvements.
6. Create and maintain documentation, including engineering drawings, design specifications, and technical reports.

What are we looking for from you?
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a related field recognized by Engineers Australia.
2. Significant experience in technical design and delivering projects.
3. Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, including power distribution (up to 33kV), control systems, and instrumentation design.
4. Significant experience gained within Australia in designing and implementing utility-scale generation or storage, or similar project experience in HV substation, HV reticulation, and heavy industry.
5. Experience in various electrical calculation software packages, such as PowerCAD, ETAP, DesignBase, CDEG, will be beneficial.
6. Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
7. Proficiency in project management tools.
8. Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards and codes related to electrical design and installation associated with the water industry, such as AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008, AS/NZS 61439, AS/NZS 2067, AS/NZS 60079.
9. Chartered Professional Engineer accreditation or eligible candidates are highly regarded.
