Senior Medical Secretary
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and capable Medical Secretary to join an established specialist medical practice. Our clinic locations are Kogarah and Bankstown.
The successful candidate would be responsible for supporting one of the orthopaedic surgeons in our practice. You will be working as a part of our friendly practice team with 5 members of reception staff and 3 medical specialists. Our practice values include the provision of compassionate care to all patients. You will be the first point of contact for patients making appointments.
Key responsibilities include.
• Scheduling appointments and surgeries
• Running patient clinics
• Accurate billing and accounts
• Transcribing medical letters
• Ad hoc administration and PA duties
• Phone and email enquiries

• Professional manner and presentation with a positive and caring attitude
• Ability to build rapport and show empathy with patients
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Time management skills
• Adaptability and problem-solving skills
• Strong computer skills
• Must be able to travel to both clinic locations
Desirable criteria
•Knowledge of Genie
• Previous experience working for a medical specialist
• Previous experience of Workers Compensation requirements
