The Opportunity
The Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team at RAAF Base Amberley are seeking experienced Aviation Maintenance (145 / MRO) Professionals to support world-class fixed-wing platforms as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical.
Responsibilities
* The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) is responsible for the maintenance, modification, servicing, inspection, testing and troubleshooting of aircraft systems, associated components and associated equipment within the scope of their applicable trade, qualifications, training, competency and Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) authorisation(s).
* The AME completes assigned tasks by undertaking a variety of AMO aircraft maintenance activities, sign-off, and Certification of those aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with the appropriate Authorised Maintenance Data (AMD).
* These maintenance activities require the application of trade qualifications and experience in the relevant trade category.
Accountabilities
* Reporting to the assigned Maintenance Operations Manager.
* Liaising with Boeing, Commonwealth and other Industry teams involved in maintenance operations at Amberley.
* Ability to work in a team environment.
Essential Experience / Qualifications
* Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical).
* Able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of Aviation Quality Assurance (QA) procedures and the DASR 145 Aircraft Maintenance Regulatory Framework.
* Applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
* A high level of verbal and written communication skills.
* Possess an Australian NV1 Defence security clearance or the ability to obtain.
