In this key role, you’ll be responsible for the ongoing development and refinement of Youi’s Operational Risk Management Framework, ensuring our processes remain resilient, adaptable, and future-ready.This role is all about strategy, not the day-to-day grind. You’ll work closely with senior leadership to advance our operational risk capabilities, improve our maturity, and clearly articulate how these risks influence Youi’s overall risk profile. Importantly, there are no direct reports, allowing you to focus on high-level impact and collaboration.With much of this already in motion, you'll need to hit the ground running. If you're someone who excels at building relationships, learning fast, and diving deep into operations, this is your opportunity to drive meaningful change and shape the future of Youi.Ways of workingThis is a full-time, permanent role located at our Sunshine Coast headquarters.We operate with a hybrid approach, requiring office presence from Tuesday to Thursday, while offering the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.Key prioritiesDrive the development and continuous improvement of Youi's Operational Risk Framework, ensuring it aligns seamlessly with the broader Risk Management Framework.Oversee operational risk profiles, controls, and provide strategic insights to elevate risk management practices and operational resilience.Partner with Risk, Compliance & Assurance (RCA) Business Partners and Corporate Procurement to ensure compliance with risk frameworks and effective management of third-party and operational risks.Lead initiatives in business continuity management and crisis simulations, improving operational resilience and ensuring regulatory alignment.Provide actionable recommendations by monitoring Key Risk Indicators and conducting risk assessments, helping to shape risk strategies across the business.Oversee data analysis and reporting efforts, ensuring operational risk profiles are clearly communicated and key trends are identified for improvement.About youExperience in risk management, ideally within Financial Services (5+ years’ is a general indicator).Strong understanding of operational risk management and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) concepts and frameworks.Proven experience with Line 1 or Line 2 risks, including risk profiling and assessments.Experience developing and embedding Risk Management Frameworks, policies, and procedures.Knowledge of the Australian Financial Services regulatory environment.Ability to lead and influence stakeholders effectively.Excellent communication, attention to detail, and time management skills.Ability to manage multiple projects, work autonomously, and deliver on time.Good understanding of project management methodologies.Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.How to applyWe would love the opportunity to get to know you better, but we know it works both ways.
