**Job Title:** Part Time Commis Chef
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part Time Commis Chef to join our dynamic culinary team at Ibis Perth, working 3 days per week. As an integral member of the kitchen brigade, you will assist in food preparation, uphold kitchen hygiene standards, and support senior chefs in delivering high-quality meals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes, ensuring quality and presentation meet company standards.
* Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations.
* Maintain a clean and organised workstation while adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
* Assist in stock management, including storage and rotation of ingredients.
* Learn and develop culinary skills under the guidance of senior kitchen staff.
* Uphold excellent kitchen organisation and safety standards.
* Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
* Adapt to changing menus, special events, and seasonal offerings.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience as a Commis Chef or in a similar entry-level kitchen role in a hotel.
* A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
* Basic knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices.
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Passion for food and eagerness to learn and develop culinary skills.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills.
* Availability to work across a rotating roster, including weekends, mornings, evenings, and public holidays.
