Key Responsibilities: Integrate Knowledge: Use current information and personal experience to enhance decision-making and clinical care in mental health nursing. Deliver Expert Care: Provide direct clinical mental health care, implement therapeutic interventions, and manage individual cases, evaluating consumer progress. Support Integrated Care: Offer expert assessments and advice to local clinical teams for integrated nursing care within a risk management framework. Make Independent Decisions: Exercise independent clinical decision-making in areas of expertise. Collaborate Multidisciplinary: Apply mental health expertise in multidisciplinary settings to assess consumers and implement interventions. Plan Discharges: Facilitate complex discharge planning and hospital avoidance through education and referrals. What We're Looking For: Must be registered or eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, holding a current practicing certificate. Must possess a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing or an equivalent qualification. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a registered nurse. Demonstrated proficiency in mental health nursing practices aligned with relevant standards. Experience in supervising and leading multidisciplinary teams, including student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses and/or midwives. Experience working with Aboriginal consumers.
