Our client is a well-respected government who focus on providing services throughout NSW. They are currently seeking a dedicated and hardworking Communication Engagement Officer to join their business unit. This organization plays an integral part in helping members within our society, based in Parramatta.
The successful candidate would ideally have experience in developing and driving strategic internal/external communications strategies with First Nation communities. This contract would be an ASAP start until Jan 2025.

Reporting into the Senior Manager, in this exciting Communications Engagement contract, you will be responsible for the following duties:
1. Develop and implement integrated communication strategies and delivery plans for key departmental priorities.
2. Provide strategic advice and counsel to internal customers and business partners.
3. Collaborate with Communication & Engagement partners, serving as the central point of contact for integrated communications planning and delivery.
4. Ensure communication strategies and delivery are evidence-based and data-driven, capable of near real-time response to performance analytics (both quantitative and qualitative).
5. Lead the creation of high-quality written content such as web pages, reports, speeches, newsletters, executive materials, and briefing notes.

To be successful for this Communications Engagement contract, you must have experience with the following:
6. At least 2 years in a similar Communications Officer role with a community engagement focus.
7. Tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations or journalism or relevant/demonstrated equivalent experience.
8. Experience in coordinating communications campaigns across all channels.
9. Experience briefing designers and creatives.
10. Experience working with First Nations organisations, stakeholders and community members.
11. Experience in project managing communications and content delivery across a variety of channels for internal and external audiences.
12. NSW Government experience highly advantageous.
13. Strong communication skills – written and verbal.
