About Our Kitchen
We are a vibrant and informal bar/kitchen in St Kilda, Melbourne, with a strong focus on showcasing all-Australian cuisine. Our kitchen is equipped with a wood-fired grill, adding a unique smoky flavor to our dishes.
Responsibilities
* Daily food preparation and service
* Maintaining high-quality standards of food
* Monitoring food safety requirements
* Effective grill and fire management
* Leading the day-to-day operation of a busy kitchen
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ordering and stock control
* Able to work within budgetary constraints and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs)
* Creativity and innovation in menu creation
* Kitchen staff management and training
* Comprehensive knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety and HACCP principles
Requirements
* Minimum 5 years of experience as a Sous chef or above
* Proven ability to perform in leadership roles
* Ability to grow within the group
