The department has 2 Varian linear accelerators, Canon CT simulator, Eclipse planning system and a Gulmay superficial x-ray unit.
The Radiation Therapist is responsible for the planning and treatment of patients as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist under the supervision of a Senior Radiation Therapist or Area Supervisor.
Radiation Therapy techniques in use at the WP Holman Clinic include IGRT, VMAT, DIBH, SBRT & SRT.The Holman Clinic is part of the Cancer and Blood Services stream at the Royal Hobart Hospital, which provides an integrated radiation therapy, medical oncology and haematological service to Southern Tasmania.The Role:As a Radiation Therapist at the WP Holman Clinic you'll be responsible for:Carrying out radiation therapy planning and treatment of patients as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist.Associated duties include patient care, general and technical administration.Adhering to the organisations CARE Values - Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence.Details of appointment:Multiple permanent, full time, day worker (with on-call) positions, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
