The Project CIMIC Group companies Pacific Partnerships, CPB Contractors and UGL, along with JV Partner John Holland, and as part of the Canberra Metro consortium, will finance, design, build and operate the next stage of Canberra's world-class light rail system, Stage 2A from the City to Commonwealth Park.
The Canberra Light Rail Stage 2A project is jointly funded by the Australian Government and the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) Government. Canberra Metro was awarded the $577 million contract following a single select procurement process, generating revenue of approximately $227.5 million for CPB Contractors and UGL.
The Stage 2A "catenary free" or wireless extension will be delivered under Canberra Metro's existing public-private partnership (PPP) with the ACT Government.
Your opportunity The Contracts Administrator will effectively manage the administration of all subcontractor and supplier contracts within prescribed cost limits.
Your responsibilities in the role will include:
Developing and maintaining an awareness of SHE hazards and associated risks and demonstrate a commitment to eliminate or minimise those risksAssisting the Project Manager in the preparation and review of the project monthly report including providing workings completed, programme and cost dataManaging the financial administration and site office administration for the projectDeveloping and managing own work schedule to deliver required outputs to expected quality and within timeframesMinimum Requirements Relevant experience in a contracting construction environment that engages in various subcontractorsExperience working on a large construction project is highly desirable as well as local project exposureStrong communication skills, ability to prioritise, and excellent attention to detailCompletion of a relevant Institute of Applied Technology - Construction course is highly regardedRelevant tertiary qualifications.This role is based in Canberra.
