Microsoft’s Consumer Channel Sales & Marketing (CCSM) organization works with partners to build, market and sell a winning portfolio that delights customers and earns fans around the world. The Asia Category Manager – Digital at Retail Operation will support the delivery of Xbox’s digital products through the retail channel. You will be responsible for the execution and operations of ‘digital games at retail’, Xbox gift cards, and Xbox subscription products across Asia markets – Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, South East Asia, India, Hong Kong and Taiwan. You will work with Global teams, market leads, sales teams and partners to build and execute plans to: deliver new products in market; drive global projects; and manage channel marketing processes. The Asia Xbox team sits inside the Consumer Sales Organisation, and is responsible for the retail business of Xbox business across Hardware, Games and Services. As Xbox expands focus to new devices and new audiences, we need new distribution mechanics for new content types in new and existing retail partners. This role is to focus on the operational delivery of those new models – jointly categorized as ‘Digital at Retail’ Operations & Category Management Owning & driving multiple operational processes to deliver Xbox’s digital at retail content launches seamlessly, and on time. Working with our Channel Marketing & Marcomm teams to develop and execute marketing campaigns that drive sales in partnership with our regional teams Aligning card production costs and forecasts in partnership with our Operations & Supply teams Owning and managing the pricing process for new product launches and price changes. Keeping our product release database up to date in partnership with the global product management teams and working with the operations teams to communicate street dates & price lists to our retail partners Coordinating promotional activities, act as point of contact for the field teams, distribute assets and drive follow ups to evaluate ROI Provide category analytics and consumer insights to support the field teams to build strong Category plans and enable them to become trusted advisors to key retail and marketing partners Business Management & Planning Supporting channel expansion and new partner onboarding Analyze and make recommendations on distribution, content ranging & card weights Developing & driving the rhythm of the business for Xbox’s digital at retail products, including: seasonal planning, business tracking and best practice sharing Ecosystem Partnership Partner with content owners and 3rd Party Publishers to co-market and drive content at retail Partner with the Sales Team on product ranging and go-to-market strategy both in-store and online Identify hero product and content to build priority campaigns around Experiences Required: Education, Key Experiences, Skills and Knowledge: 5 years relevant commercial experience in retail category/operations/supply chain/sales or marketing Passion for Gaming and the Xbox Brand Strong project management skills (identifying steps needed to get to a desired outcome and leading the teams thru those steps) Ability to summarize complex business situations and to remove complexities An entrepreneurial spirit, passionate about building businesses, and thrives within a fast-paced environment. Sharp analytical skills and acumen to review and manage budgets, market data, and revenue opportunities. Able to directly deliver and deliver thru influence of others Previous experience in the pre-paid card industry, gaming industry, retail category management, or like business. Experience with digital content card sales in consumer channels a plus.
