The aquatic and recreation centre includes a number of facilities that will benefit many of the local community including 50m indoor pool, warm water program pool, three multi-purpose rooms for health and fitness classes, gym, wellness centre, café, family change rooms, all with a high level of regard to disability access. Thus, ensuring that Belgravia Leisure continues its purpose and mission of "connecting community to leisure" and in turn providing every member of the community the opportunity to take advantage of this incredible facility.
About the Role Reporting directly to the Area Manager, the Venue Manager for Yawa Aquatic Centre will be fully accountable for the Centre's operational, financial and program deliverables while delivering and driving exceptional customer service.
The Venue Manager will develop and execute plans through engagement with the leadership team, key stakeholders and Mornington Peninsula Council. With experience in sales, financial and risk management, the Venue Manager will continue to drive the overall success of the centre.
Focus on helping deliver centre-wide results and lead by example. Opportunity to develop a range of skills and capabilities across all centre functions including customer experience, promoting our products, learn to swim programs, health and safety, governance and compliance.
Key Accountabilities Ensure the venue meets all service, financial and other outcomes expected by customers and stakeholdersEnsure the safety and wellbeing of visitors and team members through effective planning and oversight of policies, processes and proceduresCoach and develop your teams to deliver on KPIs through engagement, performance planning and individual development plansAchievement of budgeted net profit targetsMaintain a high value relationship with the contract partner and key community stakeholdersImplement a high value customer service proposition that addresses the needs of the client baseRecruitment of energetic and passionate team members as required to complement the team and the vision for the venueTrain team members to ensure that knowledge and capability are at the required levels to enable staff to carry out their work and achieve their objectivesMonitor team member career progression paths that lead to transparent and effective succession decisions when requiredMaintain the venue to a high standardDeliver great service and quality to customersLearn about and adhere to all company policiesFollow the law and all reasonable company instructions and directivesPerform other duties as required by the companyAbout You The successful incumbent will;
