If you have experience as a midwife, ideally across the pregnancy, birthing and post-natal continuum, then this may be the role for you!
An individualised support and guidance plan will be developed to enable you to work to your full scope of practice, including: suturing competency (if not already achieved), homebirth facilitation, mentorship of junior midwives, quality improvement initiatives and the full range of clinical and communication skills.
Our midwives provide holistic and expert care throughout the pregnancy and birth continuum to a capped caseload of women each year and are subject to an additional 40% loading within an annualised salary agreement. Our midwives accrue 7 weeks of annual leave each year.
We have capacity to accept several midwives who would like to experience the life of a continuity midwife with or without making a permanent commitment. Positions start from 0.5 and flexible working arrangements can be considered. A minimum of a 12 month commitment is required.
